When are teeth are perfect, we hardly give them a second thought except while brushing and flossing or if we catch a glimpse of them in a reflection. It's when your tooth has a noticeable chip, yellow staining, or other disheartening smile flaws that patients become very aware of their teeth.

The great news is that we can easily fix your minor to moderate smile flaw through a cosmetic dental treatment called tooth bonding. We'll help you fall in love with your teeth again!

What Is Tooth Bonding?

Tooth bonding is a minimally-invasive and cost-effective cosmetic treatment where Dr. Joel Koch skillfully administers tooth-colored composite resin to your tooth. Tooth bonding can repair minor damage and beautify your tooth to the same capacity that veneers and dental crowns can, with a considerably smaller budget or having to alter your tooth.

What Is the Tooth Bonding Process?

Many of our West Chester, OH patients love how straightforward and easy this cosmetic treatment is. It is so simple and minimally invasive that we don't have to apply an anesthetic to numb the area. Tooth bonding is applied to the surface of the tooth and does not require reshaping of the tooth or multiple visits to your dentist to apply.

We begin with choosing a resin that best mimics your enamel shade. We slightly etch the surface of the tooth so that the bonding agent sticks better.

Dr. Koch shapes the resin over the tooth, and when he feels satisfied with the shape and appearance, he will cure the resin with a special ultraviolet light.

It's that simple!

How Will Teeth Bonding Benefit Me?

Tooth bonding can fix small imperfections like a chipped, cracked, or badly stained tooth. It can also help patients who have large spaces between their teeth.

Patients with short and stubby teeth can use tooth bonding to resize their teeth.

Dental bonding can be done in just one dental office visit and rarely needs special after-care or rest time. Since no anesthesia is used, patients can get on with their daily life without worrying about finding a driver.

Each patient's smile is different, so it's difficult to say how long this treatment will take without understanding what it covers, but it generally takes around an hour or less.
